Kathy Lewis

Kathy Lewis, 60, passed away on Saturday. January 27^th, 2024, at St. Dominic Hospital in Jackson, MS from a battle with cancer. Visitation will be held on Friday, February 2, 2024, from 10:00am-12pm at Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Brandon, MS. A life celebration  service will be held at 12pm on Friday, February 2, 2024, at the Ott & Lee Funeral Home Chapel in Brandon, MS.

Kathy was born in Center Township, Pennsylvania and was a resident of Brandon, MS.

She is survived by her husband, Alton Lewis; three children, Lauren Jones (Kelly), Ryan Edwards and Jonathan Yargates; two grandchildren, Ainsley Edwards, Eleanor Jones and her two loving dogs, Max & Duke. Her siblings James and Colleen and her cousin Bobby (Lori).

She is preceded in death by her father, James Rendar and her mother, Maureen Gross Rendar.

Kathy was a strong advocate for animal rescue organizations and spent her time caring for all animals. She was involved with the prison ministries and volunteered at many organizations including Little Light House of Central MS, The Mustard Seed, and Hope House of Hospitality. Kathy was a very spiritual person and was a member of the Episcopal Church. When she was not crafting up a storm with her creative personality, she was spending time with her family and grandkids at the beach as it was her favorite place on earth.
