Kelvin Ray Moffatt, 46, of Pearl, passed away Tuesday, December 27, 2011 at Hospice Ministries in Ridgeland. Funeral services are scheduled for 10AM Friday, December 30, 2011 at Flowood Baptist Church. Kelvin was a faithful dedicated member of Flowood Baptist Church. He loved his church and his church family. He was at one time before his illness the Director of Sunday School. He was active member of Brotherhood and participated in mission trips.
Even through his long illness, he would attend church because of his GOD. He was an inspiration to all and everyone who knew him considered him a hero.
He loved all the times he spent with his daughter, Meagan and his grandchildren, Addison and Camden. Camden was his buddy in all the fun “guy” things. He was an avid LSU fan and enjoyed his bragging rights as a Tiger.
He is preceded in death by his father, Wayne Moffatt and his grandfather, Ray Moffatt.
He is survived by his wife, Theresa Fortenberry Moffatt; daughter, Meagan Reanne Moffatt; mother, Mildred Moffatt; grandmother, Gladys Moffatt; step-children, Stephen Geary (Ashley), Stephanie Bailey (Trey); brothers, Timothy Moffatt and James Moffatt (Pam); two grandchildren, Camden Geary and Addison Geary; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Flowood Baptist Church Benevolence Fund, 1649 Old Fannin Road, Brandon, MS 39047.
