Kenneth Mitchell Ainsworth, 64, died Sunday, October 23, 2011 at the VA Medical Center in Jackson, Mississippi. Visitation is Tuesday, October 25, 2011 from 5 – 8 pm and 9 am Wednesday, October 26, 2011 at Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Brandon, MS. Funeral Services are 10 am Wednesday, October 26, 2011 from the Chapel of Ott & Lee Funeral Home with burial to follow in Floral Hills Memory Gardens in Pearl, MS.

Mr. Ainsworth was born in Oak Grove Louisiana on February 20, 1947 to the late Joseph Benjamin and Fairy Ainsworth. He served in the Air Force during the Viet Nam War. A resident of Rankin County for over 37 years, he was a member of Faith Family Church of God in Pearl. In 1998 he retired from Siemens Power Transmission & Distribution as a mechanist where he had worked for over 24 years.

Mr. Ainsworth was preceded in death by his parents; his son, Kenneth M. Ainsworth, Jr. and his son-in-law, Jeffrey S. Eastwood.

Survivors include his wife of 44 years, Regina Morse Ainsworth of Pearl, MS; two daughters, Tammy Jones and her husband, Rodney of Nashville, TN and Jennifer Eastwood of Brandon, MS; three brothers, Joe Davis Ainsworth and wife, Vivian of Mountain View, Arkansas, Howard Lee Ainsworth and wife, Della Jane, and Dayton Livingston Ainsworth and wife, Diane all of Oak Grove, Louisiana; and five grandchildren, Andrew Jones, Daniel Jones, Rachel Jones, Justin Eastwood, and Joel Jones.

The family would like to say a special “Thank You” to the doctors, nurses, and staff of the VA Medical Center in Jackson for all their loving care and concern shone to the family.

Memorials may be made to the Gideon’s International or the Volunteer Services of the VA Medical Center, Jackson, MS.
