Kenneth Blaine

December 8, 1965 — June 18, 2018

Brandon

Kenneth (Ken) Allan Blaine, 52, died June 18, 2018 at Baptist Medical Center after a brave five year battle with cancer. He is survived by his wife Patricia (Tricia) Smith Blaine, and son Jon Logan Blaine.

On November 11, 1994 he married Tricia Smith, the love of his life, and they added their pride and joy, Jon Logan, in July 1998. As a family, they actively served in many ministries and Ken led his family by example always showing others the love of Christ. Their faith in God has never waivered throughout their marriage.

Ken was a passionate hunter and fisherman, and made many memories with his family and friends. He was often referred to as “Cuz” by those closest to him. The highlight of his hunting adventures took he and Logan to Argentina on a trip of a lifetime for Logan’s senior trip. They made many memories together that week while shooting dove, ducks, and enjoying five-star dining. In addition to hunting, the family cherished many memories of time spent at the beach and snow skiing. Ken was also an accomplished pilot in his younger years.

Ken led his small business, Blaine’s Auto Accessories, with a vision to serve above and beyond with every person he came to know.  Through his battle with cancer, his employees supported and continued to run the day-to-day business with the same passion Ken carried. He touched many lives through the relationships he built with auto dealers throughout the state of Mississippi.

Ken passed peacefully and found comfort in this truth; “If you declare with your mouth, 'Jesus is Lord,' and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you profess your faith and are saved.” (NIV, Romans 10: 9-10)."

As longtime members of Pinelake Church, their faith family has been a constant source of spiritual support. The family also wishes to thank the many medical personnel who rallied and cared for him, especially Dr. Bob Wilkerson and Tonya Ball of Jackson Oncology.

He was preceded in death by his father, J. D. Blaine. He also leaves his mother, Sue Blaine of Brandon; brothers Mike Blaine (Tammy), Mark Blaine, and sister Angie Hite (Jimmy).  Brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Doug and Carol White and their daughter, Whitney and many other nieces, nephews, and cousins. He also leaves behind many, many friends that he considered family.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, June 19 at Ott and Lee Funeral Home in Brandon from 5:30 - 8:00 p.m. Services will be held at noon on Wednesday, June 20 at Pinelake Church reservoir campus with visitation prior to service 10:00 - 11:30 a.m.  Interment will follow in Lakeland Place Garden Park Cemetery.
