Bro. Kenneth Davis Cook, 78, passed away Sun. Dec. 20, 2020 at the Brandon Nursing & Rehab Center in Brandon, MS. Graveside Services will be held at 11am on Wed. Dec. 23, 2020 at Crestview Memorial Gardens in Brandon, MS. Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Brandon, MS is handling arrangements.

Bro. Cook was born on Jan. 9, 1942 in Grenada, MS to the late Davis Austin Cook and Annie Carlisle Cook. He graduated in 1959 from Greenwood High School and was also a graduate of Mississippi College. Bro. Cook has served as a pastor since 1972 and his last church to serve at was Hermanville Baptist Church. Bro. Cook was a member of First Baptist Church in Brandon, MS and was a member of the Anse Barber Sunday School Class. He served at the Mississippi Baptist Association where he had the pleasure of being on the Historical Committee and he was also involved with the Bi-Vocational Pastors Association.

He is survived by his loving wife whom he has been married to since July 23, 1964, Barbara Cook; daughter, Melissa N. Waltz; son, Stephen D. Cook (Kelly); five grandchildren, Mary Bowers Cook, Molly K. Waltz, Chapman D. Cook, Baylor M. Waltz and Zachary A. Waltz. Bro. Cook is also preceded in death by his sister, Shirley Edwards.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the First Baptist Church Building Fund at 175 Boyce Thompson Dr. Brandon, MS 39042.
