Kenneth W. Gill, 73, a resident of Johns, MS, passed away Thurs. April 27, 2017 at Hospice Ministries in Ridgeland, MS. Visitation will be held on Fri. April 28, 2017 from 5pm-7pm and on Sat. April 29, 2017 from 9am-9:45am at Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Brandon, MS. Funeral Services are 10am on Sat. April 29, 2017 at the Ott & Lee Funeral Home Chapel in Brandon, MS with burial to follow in the Cato Cemetery in Rankin County, MS.
Mr. Gill was born on Aug. 11, 1943 to the late John I. and Elta Gill. He retired after 25 years of service with the Pearl Public Schools and was presently employed with Merit Health. Mr. Gill enjoyed fishing with his nephews and going to his family gatherings. He was also a charter member of Brandon Baptist Church in Brandon, MS.
He is survived by his five sisters, Ruth Smalhout, Helen Van Fleet, Dorothy Montgomery, Jean Mills and Carolyn Dickerson. Mr. Gill is also preceded in death by two sisters, Lucille Shotts and Sarah Johnson and six brothers, Monroe, Andrew, Earl, Guy, Fred and Grady Gill.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Brandon Baptist Church Building Fund at 100 Brandon Baptist Dr. Brandon, MS 39042.
