Kenneth Dewayne Matthews, 48, passed away at his home in Pelahatchie. Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00PM Saturday, October 8, 2011 in the chapel of Ott and Lee Funeral Home in Brandon. Visitation will be held prior to the service beginning at 12:00 Noon. Interment will follow the service in Floral Hills Memory Gardens in Pearl.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Murphy Glendon Matthews and Bobbie Jo Payne Matthews; and his sister, Becky Matthews.
He is survived by his loving wife, Delilah Matthews; son, Jacob Matthews; daughter, Staci Matthews; brother, Glenn Matthews and wife Lane, sister, Sonya Stokeley and husband Tony; and 2 grandchildren, Grayson Matthews and Karley Griffin.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that memorial contributions be made to the Pelahatchie Volunteer Fire Department, P.O. Box 291, Pelahatchie, MS 39145.
