Kenneth Millis

Kenneth Millis, 74, a resident of Brandon, MS passed away Saturday, March 3, 2018 at his home. Funeral services will be held at 1 pm Tuesday, March 6, 2018 at Ott and Lee Funeral Home in Brandon, MS with interment following in Crestview Memorial Gardens in Brandon, MS. Visitation will be held from 5-8 pm Monday and 11am-1 pm Tuesday at the funeral home.

Mr. Millis was born on January 27, 1944 to E. M. Millis and Annie Lou Buckley Millis. He was married to Bettie Lee Millis. Mr. Millis finished high school at New Hebron, MS and went on to Copiah-Lincoln Jr. College. He was a graduate of University of Southern Mississippi and Mississippi College where he received his Master in Business and in Human Resources. He proudly served his country in Army National Guard in the medic division. He was a member of First United Methodist Church in Brandon, MS. Mr. Millis worked as an Industrial Engineer in Jackson, MS and in San Francisco, CA. He returned to Mississippi as Human Resource Director at Mississippi State Hospital where he retired in 1998. He enjoyed traveling, camping, square dancing and if time allowed gardening and spending time with his family.

He was preceded in death by his parents, E.M. Millis and Annie Lou Buckley Millis; father and mother-in-law, Johnnie Lee and Charlie Rogers Lee and his brother-in-law, Sergeant Johnnie Gene Lee, Vietnam casualty.

He is survived by his wife of 36 years, Bettie Lee Millis; sister, Barbara (Bill) Meadows; brother in laws, Wesley (Lisa) Lee and Donnie (Wanda) Lee; a number of nieces, nephews, great and great-great nieces and nephews; and a host of friends.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Audubon Society or Nature Conservancy.
