Kenneth (Kenny) D Morris, passed away peacefully at his home on Wednesday, February 22, 2023. Kenny was born August 5th, 1952, in Blytheville, AR to Ernest and Maggie Morris. A memorial service will be held at 1:00pm on Saturday, February 25th at Skyway Hills Baptist Church with Rev. Gary Harper and Rev. Mike Welch officiating.
Kenny was a country boy and was proud to be from Arkansas. During his school years, he played basketball and ran track. He continued to love the game of basketball long after his body would no longer allow him to play. Kenny was also an avid fan of professional bull riding always rooting for his favorite rider, JB Mauney. But most of all, he had a love of horses his entire life and always wanted to ride the wild crazy ones. Kenny had many horses over the years, but Rowdy was his most favorite. Kenny worked as a commercial painter for over 40 years. Kenny was an outgoing friendly guy and maintained friendships for a lifetime. His family and friends were always a big part of his life.
Kenny is preceded in death by his parents, Ernest and Maggie Morris, Blytheville, AR. Brother, Charles Morris, Blytheville, AR and sister Mary Sue Moore, Lapeer, MI.
He is survived by his wife, Naomi Morris. They have been soulmates for over 20 years. He is also survived by his brother John (Maxine) Morris, Lapeer, MI; and sisters, Betty Kline, Frederick, MD, Regenia Patrick, Olive Branch, MS, Pat (James) Sullivan, Olive Branch, MS, Judy Keene, Olive Branch, MS; his son, David Tinsley, Edwards, MS; bonus daughter, Tracy Watson, Pearl, MS; and bonus son, Corey Cumberland, Pearl, MS; and nephews Charles (Chuck) Morris II, Ridgeland, MS, Reggie Patrick, Pearl, MS; and numerous other nieces, nephews and bonus grandchildren and great grandchildren.
