Mr. Kenneth Earl Yount, age 81, a resident of Morton, died Wednesday, May 12, 2010 at Scott Regional Hospital. Visitation was held Friday, May 14, 2010 from 8am – 3:30pm at Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Morton. Funeral service was held 3:30pm Friday, May 14, 2010 from the Ott & Lee Chapel in Morton with burial in Morton Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Rev. Kenneth Johnson officiated the services.
Mr. Yount was a resident of Bastrop, LA and Hamburg, AR before moving to Morton. He was a diesel mechanic and was an avid fisherman. He will be greatly missed by all who loved and knew him.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Earl Julius Yount and Almar Evelyn Jarritt Yount; brother, Harry Yount; grandson, Jodie Earl Yount and great granddaughter, Jodie Leeannah Yount.
Survivors include his 7 children; daughters, Susie Patton (Steve) of Moscow, Idaho and Barbara Galey of Lewiston, Idaho; sons, Kenneth Ray Yount of Pearl, Lester E. Yount (Jeanette) of Morton, Ken Yount (Jeanette) of Morton, David Earl Yount (Amanda) of Morton, Greg A. Yount (Cherish) of Morton and one sister, Evelyn Tuten of Brandon.
Pallbearers were Shannon Yount, Barrett Yount, Zachery Yount, Ray Yount, Kevin Yount and Bobby Yount. Honorary Pallbearer was Evelyn Tuten.
Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Morton was in charge of arrangements.
