Kristopher Scott Knight, age 31, a resident of Brandon passed away on Wednesday, February 15, 2017 at Merit Health Rankin in Brandon, MS. His visitation was held 4-9pm Saturday, February 18, 2017 at Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Morton. Funeral services were held 2pm Sunday, February 19, 2017 from the Ott & Lee Funeral Home Chapel in Morton with burial in Thornhill Baptist Cemetery. Bro. Jeff Holland officiated the services. Arrangements were entrusted to the care of Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Morton.
Kristopher Scott Knight was born in Hinds County on March 2, 1985. His friends and family said they called him a computer guru. He was also called, phone savy because of the practical knowledge he had about cell phones and how they operated. Scott had a dry sense of humor. Even after his brain surgery he was cracking jokes and making others laugh. He loved taking care of people and was known for having a big heart for helping others. Scott loved playing video games and in honor of him at his funeral all the pallbearers wore shirts that said, Game On. He loved his family and friends very much and will be greatly missed by all who loved and knew him.
He is preceded in death by his grandmother, Willie Mae Warren; 2 grandfathers, Earl Knight and Donnie Nutt; stepfather, Donald Bowman Jr.; brother-in-law, Matt Milling; friend & room mate, John Claude Milling.
He is survived by his mother, Carla Nutt (Mike) of Morton; father, Timmy Knight (Tammy) of Crystal Springs; siblings, Jessica Milling of Morton, Kristia Lightle (Dewayne) of Brandon, Nathan Denton of Brandon, Kevin Lee Bowman (Holladay) of Brandon, Scotty Wayne Harmon (Melissa) of Brandon, Corban Nutt of Pelahatchie and Berkley Nutt of Pelahatchie; grandparents, Benny & V ickie Warren of Crystal Springs, Louise Knight of Crystal Springs and Sylvia Nutt of Raymond; cousins, Kendra & Jeff Cook of Crystal Springs and Allen Zeigler of Crystal Springs; special aunt, Debie Zeigler (Randy Jackson) of Crystal Springs; aunt, Sandra Bowman of Brandon; uncles, Dwayne Bowman of Pelahatchie and Benson Warren of Crystal Springs and a host of friends.
Pallbearers were Kyle Brown, Justin Zeigler, Dwayne Bowman, Dewayne Lightle, Bryan King, Brian Conger, Rick Reach, Austin Bowman and Brandon Wooten. Honorary pallbearers were Colton Milling, Dylon Milling, Kaleb Evans, Matthew Milling (deceased) and John Claude Milling (deceased).
