Lamar L. Prestage, 66, a resident of Lake died Monday, November 22, 2010 at Lakey Memorial Hospital in Forest. Funeral services were held Wednesday, November 24, 2010 at Ott and Lee Funeral Home in Morton with burial in the Hopewell Baptist Church Cemetery. Visitation was held 12-9 pm Tuesday and 8-1 pm Wednesday at the funeral home. Rev. Allen Blackburn and Rev. Timothy Lott officiated the services. Ott and Lee Funeral Home in Morton was in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Prestage was a native of Leake Co. He was born on June 19, 1944 to Murry and JD Prestage. He was married to his wife of 46 years Doshia DePriest Prestage. Mr. Prestage worked 40 years as a supervisor for B.C. Rogers. He was a member of Magnolia Baptist Church in Trenton. He loved his family very much and spending time with them brought great joy to his life. He will be greatly missed by all who loved and knew him.

Mr. Prestage was preceded in death by his father, Murry Prestage, brothers, John David, James Clifton and Murry Prestage, Jr.

Mr. Prestage is survived by his wife, Doshia DePreist Prestage, daughters, Sarah Crapps of Lake and Lisa Warren (Russell) of Burns; son, Joseph Prestage (Anna) of Lake; mother, J.D. Prestage of Morton; 5 grandchildren, Shasta Shelley (Amon), Willam Yancey Crapps, Joshua Lavelle Hall, Jason Prestage and Allison Prestage, 2 step grandchildren, Chelsea Warren and Ken Warren, 1 great grandchild, J.T. Shelley, sister, Algie Stewart of Morton; brothers, Willie Prestage of Forest, Jessie Prestage of Morton, Roger Prestage of Morton, Billy Ray Prestage of Morton and Jim Prestage of Homewood; many nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends.

Serving as pallbearers were Richard Prestage, William DePriest, Tony Prestage, Tim Coley, Roger Coley and Kevin Bishop.Serving as honorary pallbearers were Thomas Coley, Dewayne Prestage and Paul Prestage.
