Lamar Thomley

Lamar Arthur Thomley, 81, a resident of Brandon, passed away on Saturday, September 19, 2020 at his home.

Funeral services will be Tuesday, September 22, 2020 at 12:00pm from North Brandon Church of Christ with Rev. Tim West officiating. Visitation will start at 10:00am at the church till service time. Internment will follow in Floral Hills Memory Gardens. Pallbearers will be Jonas Powell, Tommy Knight, Chris Wallace, Chad Frederick, Tom Broocks, Erbie Massengill, Lanny Case, Robert Collier, and Kenny Pittman.

Lamar was born in Trenton, MS on March 24, 1939 to the late Marshall Thomley and Myrna Parkman Thomley. He retired from the Teamsters Union after 25 years. He was a member of North Brandon Church of Christ, where he enjoyed worshipping and fellowshipping with fellow brothers and sisters in Christ. Lamar enjoyed motorcycles, the outdoors, camping, hunting, and fishing.

Lamar is survived by his wife, Mary Thomley; children, Lamar A. Thomley, Jr. (Tammy) and Lyn Thomley; sisters, Pat Marsman (Larry) and Judy Seal (David).

He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Tammy Lamar Thomley; and brother, Charles Thomley.
