Lane Everett Hatten, 64, passed away on Friday, September 25, 2015, at his home. Visitation will be 9am Monday, Sept. 28, at Ott & Lee Funeral Home until the 11am service in the chapel. Interment will be at Crestview Memorial Gardens.

Mr. Hatten was born in Gulfport, MS to James F. Hatten and Velma Odum Hatten. Lane was a member of Pinelake Church in Brandon. He retired in 2010 from the railroad after 42 years of service. He served as local chapter President of the Brotherhood of Locomotive Engineers. He loved fishing and spending time with his family.

Survivors include his wife of 45 years, Jo Shows Hatten; 3 sons, Brett Hatten, Chad (Kristin) Hatten and Zach Hatten all of Brandon; 2 grandsons, Cade Hatten and Haven Hatten of Brandon; sister, Velma Spalding of Brandon; and a brother, Richard Starnes of Laurel, MS; he is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
