Military graveside rites for Mr. Larry Davis Brown will be held at 11:00 am, Thursday, March 9, 2017 from the Mississippi Veterans Memorial Cemetery with Bro. Leslie Tucker officiating.
Larry Davis Brown was born in Scott County on January 3, 1946 to his parents: Clifton S. and Annie Mae McGee Brown. He passed away Monday, March 6, 2017 at Scott Regional Hospital in Morton at the age of 71.
Larry was a shade tree mechanic, who enjoyed working in the deer processing industry with his brother-in-law, Jimmy Gunn. A simple man, he enjoyed squirrel hunting in days gone by. He served his country in the U.S. Army and was a Baptist by faith.
He is preceded in death by his parents; and five siblings: D.L. Brown, Marzelle Gunn, Mae Niece Goodson, Hilda Faye Croxton, and Mary Agnes Pettigrew.
Survivors include his four sisters: Barbara Jean Gunn of Forest; Linda Lou (Rayford) Henry of Pulaski; Dianne Bell of Forest; and Donna S. (Leslie) Tucker of Union; and a host of nieces and nephews.
