Larry Sones

Larry Paul Sones, 70, of Brandon, died December 26, 2012. A Memorial Service will be held at 11am. on Sat. Dec. 29, 2012 at Ott and Lee Funeral Home in Brandon, MS with visitation being held prior to the service from 9am.-10:45am. He was preceded in death by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Sones of Eupora. Honorary Pallbearers will be his sons, Mitch Sones, Michael Sones, and Will Sones; his sons-in-law, Troy Nunn and Rob Ormsby and his nephews, Paul Sones and Brian Woodruff.
Larry was an Alpha Tau Omega at Mississippi State University and member of the School of Architecture’s first graduating class. He practiced architecture for over 35 years and owned Larry Sones, Architects. Although he built and designed a variety of commercial buildings, his specialty was houses of worship. He loved his work and serving his Lord. Larry was an active member of First Assembly of God in Jackson.
He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Kathy Woodruff Sones; three sons, Mitchell, Michael, and Will Sones; three daughters, Kelly Ormsby, Kimberly Nunn, and Deanna Sones; and brother Pete Sones, of Daphne, Alabama. Larry has seven grandchildren: Precious Sones; Hannah and Emily Abdou; Ian Ormsby; and Olivia, Tyler, and Stella Nunn.
