Larry L. Ainsworth

August 29, 1941 — March 26, 2015

Larry Lang Ainsworth, 73, was welcomed into the presence of his Savior on Thursday, March
26, 2015. Visitation is 5-8 pm Friday at Ott and Lee Funeral Home in Brandon and 9 am Saturday at Park Place Baptist Church in Pearl. Services are 10 am Saturday at Park Place Baptist Church with a 2 pm graveside at Beezer Cemetery in Raleigh.

Larry was employed at Baptist Health Systems for 55 years, many of which he served as the supervisor of the blood bank. He was a member of the Gideons International and was an active member of Park Place Baptist Church where he served as a deacon, Bible study teacher, and enjoyed singing in the choir.

As a graduate of the University of Southern Mississippi, he continued as a lifelong fan and supporter. His love for music, particularly Southern Gospel, and reading were passed on to his family. His greatest earthly love and legacy was his family, where he modeled the love and grace of God to his wife, children, and grandchildren. As a Christian, he entrusted his life and eternity with Jesus, whom he worked to live for and glorify at every opportunity.

Larry’s favorite scripture was, “But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.” Isaiah 40:31

Survivors include his wife, Marilyn Ainsworth of Pearl; son, Joel Ainsworth (Emily) of Hanahan, South Carolina; daughters, Lisa Mason of Pearl and Kelli Gordon (Preston) of Pelahatchie; grandson, Zachary Mason; step-grandchildren, Gage Gordon, Macy Gordon and Presley Gordon.

The family requests memorials to the debt retirement at Park Place Baptist Church P. O. Box 1497, Brandon, MS 39043.
