Lavelle Lee

Lavelle Atkison Patrick Lee of Brandon, a retired personal assistant for the Internal Revenue Service, died Tuesday, September 25, 2018 at Peach Tree Village.

Funeral services will be Friday, September 28, 2018 at 11:00am from Grace Primitive Baptist Church with Elder David Pyles officiating. Visitation will be from 10:00am until service time at the church. Interment will follow in Floral Hills Memory Gardens.

A Leake County Native, she was a graduate of Barnes High School and East Central Junior College. She lived in Jackson and Florence for many years having moved to Brandon in 1999. She was a member of the Grace Primitive Baptist Church. She retired with 35 years of government service, 30 years of which was with the Internal revenue Service. After retiring from the IRS, she went to work with the State Department of Natural Resources where she was a receptionist for nine years. She was a member of the National Association of Retired Federal Employees and the American Association of Retired Persons.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Joe R. Lee; siblings, Pascal Atkison and Lavana Malone Thomas.

She is survived by her daughter, Jana Patrick Weaver of Brandon; siblings, Laura Scott of Pearl, Dussie Camp and Lonnie Atkison both of Carthage; two grandchildren, Kaylee Weaver Joe and Landon Weaver; one great-grandson, Connor Joe all of Madison. A host of other relatives and friends.
