LaVurne Ray Hasselbach, 77, passed away Friday Jan. 17, 2014 at the St. Dominic Memorial Hospital in Jackson, MS. Visitation will be held on Thurs. Jan. 23, 2014 from 10am until the 3pm funeral service at Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Brandon, MS.
Mr. Hasselbach was born in Lindsey, OH and has lived in Brandon, MS since 1994. He was a great magician, loved to go fishing and enjoyed collecting baseball cards and coins. Mr. Hasselbach retired in 2004 as a Team Coordinator with Double G Coating in Byram, MS and he was also a Lutheran in his faith.
He is survived by his wife, Linda Hasselbach; five children, David Hasselbach, Eric Hasselbach, Lisa Marie Hasselbach, Melinda Grace Bixel and Cindy Gresh. He is also survived by his grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Mr. Hasselbach is preceded in death by his parents, Gerald and Pearl Hasselbach; daughter, Lita Mauren Hasselbach and his sister, Betty Wheatley.
