Dr. Lawrence "Larry" E. Ousterhout of Madison, MS, born Jan. 20, 1922, in Deming, NM, died Aug. 9, 2017. Larry was preceded in death by wife of 55 years, Marie, son, Glenn, daughter-in-law, Beau, and parents, George and Lila Mae.
Survived by children Nancy Cropp & husband Mike of Dallas, TX, Julia of Kirksville, MO, David & wife Linda of Narragansett, RI, Paula Bussard & husband Chuck of Carlisle, PA, Lloyd & wife Guyolyn of Pelahatchie, MS, Keith & wife Lisa of Brandon, MS; grandchildren Michael Cropp & wife April, David Anthony & wife Harriet, Maria Lowe & husband Matt, Christopher Bussard & wife Maria, Alex Bussard, Nathan Bussard, TJ Houck, Jason Houck & wife Jaclyn, Bradley Houck & wife Raven, Brett Quon & husband Jason, Ariel Gainey & husband Jody, Emaleigh Ousterhout, Emily Manuel & husband Gage, Tommy Ousterhout, great-granddaughters Sophia, Olivia, Emilia, Mabel & Lydia; and, great-grandsons Tai, Bradley, Alex & Nicholas; brothers Bill, Gerry & John.
Graduated Oregon State University 1943, BS, Univ. of CA-Davis 1958, PhD; Retired US Army active 1946 and Reserves 1968.
Retired Poultry Nutritionist, long-time orchid grower, lived in Eagle Point, OR, Davis, CA, Silver Spring, MD, Barrington, IL, Narragansett, RI, Morton, MS, Puyallup, WA, and Ridgeland, MS.
Memorial Service will be held at First United Methodist Church of Ridgeland, MS on Saturday, September 9 at 11:00 a.m. Memorials may be made to the Nature Conservancy or Ousterhout Poultry Endowment Fund OSU Foundation in Corvallis, OR.
