Lawrence Michael Hazen, 58, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, September 13, 2014. Visitation is 5pm until 8pm Tuesday, Sept 16, 2014 at Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Brandon. A Celebration of Life Service will be 10am Wednesday in the chapel of the funeral home. Interment will be at Beaufort National Cemetery in Beaufort, SC.
Michael was a member of Crossgates Baptist Church and an active member of David McKay’s Life Group and the Men’s Fight Club at Crossgates Baptist Church. He was the Director of Operations for New Vision Venture property development.
Michael graduated in 1974 from Goose Creek High School in Goose Creek, SC. He then joined the Air Force serving from 1974 until 1979.
Survivors include his wife, Cathy Stokes Hazen; children, Aaron Hazen (Kira) of Charleston, SC, Heather Leah Carr (Seth) of Jacksonville, NC, Wayne Suiter, Jr. (Samantha) of Summerville, SC and Jenny Suiter of Eutawville, SC; sister, Lynn Michelle Harrison (Mark) of Summerville, SC; and three grandchildren, Sienna Fisher, Joseph Carr and Ellie Suiter.
Honorary pallbearers will be the 5:30am Tuesday morning Men’s Fight Club.
Memorial contributions may be made to Crossgates Baptist Church, Benevolence Fund.
