Lee Evans

Lee Evans, age 78, a resident of Pearl, passed away on Monday, January 29, 2018 at Merit Health Rankin.

A Celebration of Life will be Thursday, February 1, 2018 at 2:00 PM from Ott and Lee Funeral Home in Brandon with Brother Keith Grubbs officiating. Interment will follow in Floral Hills Memorial Gardens in Pearl, MS. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday, January, 31, 2018 from 5-8 PM and again on Thursday from 1-2 PM.

Lee was born in Newton, MS on April 2, 1939, to the late Walter E. Evans and Goldie Stringfellow Evans. He is also preceded in death by his brother, Lewis Evans.

He worked for over 40 years for Illinois Central Railroad and over 15 years for Avis Budget Car Rental.

He is survived by his wife, Sarah Evans of Pearl; two children, Billy Evans (Sandra) of Flowood and Becky Kellogg (David) of Brandon; four siblings, Ed Evans of Lake, Walter Evans of Brandon, Frankie Evans of Brandon, and Faye Fisher of Lake; six grandchildren, Bridget Bradshaw, Josh Evans, Brittany Gentry, Bryana Andrews, Holly Norris, and Lindsey Kellogg; seven great- grandchildren, and a host of other relatives and friends.
