Lee Roy Ivy, 67, a resident of Morton died Monday, September 1, 2014 at his home. Funeral services will be conducted Friday, September 5, 2014 at the First Baptist Church in Morton with interment in the Morton Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be held from 12 noon until 9 pm Thursday at Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Morton and from 12 noon until 1:45 pm Friday at the First Baptist Church in Morton. Rev. Earl Clark will officiate. Ott & Lee Funeral Home of Morton in charge of the arrangements.
Mr. Ivy was a native of Scott County. He was the son of L.C. Ivy and Mattie Eley Ivy. He was married to June Smith Ivy. Mr. Ivy worked 24 years for the State of Mississippi before retiring. He worked at Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Morton for many years. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Morton. He was a big fan of southern gospel music and esteemed highly the McKamey’s. He enjoyed dining out with family and friends. He loved his family very much and spending time with them brought great joy to his life. He will be greatly missed by all who loved and knew him.
Mr. Ivy is survived by his wife, June Smith Ivy of Morton; son, Ron Ivy of Morton many other family and a host of friends.
Mr. Ivy was preceded in death by his parents, L.C. Ivy and Mattie Eley Ivy.
