Major Lennis Randall Robbins, United States Marine Corp, retired, passed away on Sunday, May 10, 2015 in Fredericksburg, VA with his wife Mary Ellen Robbins in a motorcycle accident. Visitation is 5-9 pm Friday, May 15, 2015 at Ott and Lee Funeral Home in Brandon and 10 am Saturday at Shiloh United Methodist Church in Rankin County. Services are 11 am Saturday at the Shiloh United Methodist Church with burial in the church cemetery.

Randy was born in Jackson on July 10, 1959 to Lennis (Buddy) Robbins and Lynda Faye Robbins. He graduated from Brandon High School where he played high school sports including softball and football. He graduated from the University of Phoenix through the military with a bachelor’s degree.

Major Lennis "Randy" Robbins enlisted in the United States Marine Corps Delayed Entry Program on 24 Nov 1980 and reported to recruit training on 3 Dec 1980. Maj Robbins graduated as the "honor graduate" from the Marine Corps Recruit Depot, Parris Island, SC on 27 Feb 1981.

Maj Robbins served as an Arabic Linguist Interrogator/Translator until his selection as a United States Marine Corps Warrant Officer on 1 Feb 1989. Maj Robbins was later commissioned as a Marine Air Ground Task Force Intelligence Officer on 1 Oct 1995. Maj Robbins served numerous years as a Weapons and Tactics Instructor. Maj Robbins' deployments include Operations in Somalia, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia and Beirut, Lebanon.

Maj Robbins retired from the United States Marine Corps in April 2007. In July 2007, Mr. Robbins joined the Marine Corps Intelligence Activity. Mr. Robbins has served as the Collection Manager and the Office Director for the Office of Planning and Direction at the Marine Corps Intelligence Activity until his untimely death on 10 May 2015.

Randy was preceded in death by his mother, Lyndia Williams Burkett and grandparents, Viola and D. H. Robbins and W. C. King.

Survivors include his children, Lindsey Brooke Robbins Heyland (Jon) of Peoria, Arizona, Niki West Adams (Shawn) of Pearl and Kipling Wayne West of Fredericksburg, VA.; father, Lennis Robbins (Rosemary) of Brandon; step-mother, Jo Robbins of Pelahatchie; brothers, Reese Robbins of Brandon, Earl D. Burkett, III of Brandon; sisters, Wendy Burkett Crumbley of Brandon, Terri Burkett May of Richmond, VA and Valerie Russell of Pelahatchie; step-father, Earl Burkett, Jr. of Brandon; grandchildren, Mason Randall Siegert, Hailey Heyland, Evelyn Heyland, Allyson Heyland, Riley Nix, Ashton Nix, Kabren West, Tatum West, Liam Adams, Jonah Adams and a number of aunts, uncles and other family members.

Randy was an outstanding marine, husband, father, grandfather, son, brother and friend.
