Leonard G. Frayer, 93, went to be with the Lord on Friday, June 24, 2011 at Wisteria Garden in Pearl, MS. Visitation is 5 – 8 pm Monday, June 27, 2011, and 9 am Tuesday, June 28, 2011, at Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Brandon, MS. Funeral Services are 10 am Tuesday at the Chapel of Ott & Lee Funeral Home with burial to follow at 1 pm in the Beezer Cemetery in Taylorsville, MS.
Leonard Gordon Frayer was born in Elgin, Illinois, on May 15, 1918, to the late William Farland and Nettie Elizabeth Gordon Frayer. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II and received three bronze stars. He had been a resident of Brandon since 1976 and was a member of Crossgates Baptist Church. He retired as Transportation Specalist with General Services Administration, a branch of the Federal Government in Washington, DC, after 30 years of service.
He is proceeded in death by his parents; his wife, Elouise Blackwell Frayer; and a daughter, Pamela Frayer.
Survivors include his daughters, Joyce Kellum and husband, Billy of Flowood, MS, Elizabeth Reeves of Jackson, MS, and Debbie Bickley and husband, Robert of Brandon, MS; five grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.
