Leroy Moseley, age 78, a lifelong resident of both the town of Forest and the Goodhope community of Scott County, died Monday July 15, 2013 following an extended illness.
Funeral services were conducted at 2pm Thursday July 18, 2013 from the Sharon Primitive Baptist Church with interment in the church cemetery. Visitation was held from 5pm-8pm Wednesday July 17, 2013 at OTT & LEE FUNERAL HOME in Forest. Elder Stanley Phillips and Elder Joey Evans officiated.
Mr. Moseley was born December 6, 1934 in Scott County to his parents Floyd Moseley and Florence Pentecost Moseley. He was preceded in death by his parents, a daughter; Adrianne Ola Moseley and a son Erwin Floyd Moseley.
Survivors include his spouse Nina Hollingsworth Moseley of Lake, 3 daughters; Gina Reiss (Bruce), Nina Jones (Mickey) and Cher Tadlock (Bobby) all of Forest. He is also survived by one brother Henry Allen Moseley (Lil) and sister; Nickii, all of Starkville, a “special” cousin, Louise Walton of Decatur. Mr. Mosely also leaves behind a legacy of 9 grandchildren; Ben Reiss, Regan Reiss, Nathan Reiss, Jessie Reiss, Falon Jones, Tristan Jones, Logan Tadlock, Rachel Rose Tadlock and Katie Lee Tadlock.
Pallbearers were; Allen Moseley, Randall Pugh, Robert Don Devoter, Eyd Kazery, Shawn Harris, Mickey Jones, Bobby Tadlock,Ben Reiss and Regan Reiss. Honorary pallbearers were Phillip Harris, Logan McPhail, Mike Breedlove, Kent Snider, Wallace Dawkins, Steve Hoffer, Charlie Noel and Norman Williamson.
