Leslie Susan Truitt, 61, passed away at her home.  There will be a 10:00 am graveside on Saturday, August 12, 2023, at Floral Hills Memory Gardens in Pearl.  Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Brandon, MS.

Leslie was born in Pacoima, CA on July 23, 1962, to James Paul Thompson and Susan Leslie Dryden Thompson. 

Survivors include her husband, Andy Truitt; mother, Susan Thompson Ramirez (Julian Ramirez); children, James Paul Truitt (Kayla Truitt) and Daniel Thomas Truitt (Jessica Truitt); siblings, Linda Thompson Jonas, James Paul Thompson, John Phillip Thompson, Lori Thompson Stark, and Lisa Marie Cohen; three grandchildren, Juliana Hartley Truitt, Aria Noelle Truitt, and Delilah Andrea Truitt.

She loved her family above everything. She was a tenacious, loud spoken, and passionate person about things that were important to her. She wore her heart on her sleeve and would give the shirt off her back for her family. Her fire would bring laughter and joy to all at her many family dinners, which she would insist on cooking and cleaning all by herself. Her favorite seat at the dinner table was the seat closest to the kitchen so that she could always be ready to offer more food or drink to her guests.

She was a mother, a grandmother, a wife, a friend, and the glue that held her family together.
