Lester E. Williams, 71, passed away Thurs. Aug. 5, 2010 at St. Dominic Memorial Hospital in Jackson. Visitation will be held Sat. Aug. 7, 2010 from 5-7pm. at Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Brandon. Funeral Services are 2pm. Sun. Aug. 8, 2010 at the funeral home with interment following in the Floral Hills Memory Gardens in Pearl.
Mr. Williams was born in Abbeville, SC and has lived in Brandon for the past 35 years where he attended Oakdale Baptist Church. Mr. Williams enjoyed being outside working in his yard, enjoyed the computer, and watching educational programs on the television, but most of all he loved to go fishing.
He is survived by his wife, Mattie Faye Williams of Brandon; three children, Kimberly F. Fletcher (Tim) of Florence, Lester E. Williams II (Shannon) of Pearl, and Joel Nolan Williams (Misti) of Roswell, GA; seven grandchildren, Heather Nicole White, Ashley Elizabeth Jones, James Daniel Williams, Katie Roberson, Matthew Fletcher, Ashton Williams and Maya Williams; one great-grandchild, Aiden Skyler Williams and Jonathan Evan on the way. Mr. Williams is preceded in death by his parents, Lester Lee and Marie Henry Williams, and one brother, Gerald Nolan Williams.
