SERVICES: 1 PM WEDNESDAY AT OTT AND LEE FUNERAL HOME IN BRANDON BURIAL: JOHNS CEMETERY VISITATION: 5-8:30 PM TUESDAY AT OTT AND LEE IN BRANDON Lester Earl Carter, 47, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, September 21, 2014 at Mississippi Baptist Medical Center in Jackson, MS. Visitation will be Tuesday, September 23, 2014 from 5 – 8:30 pm and again on Wednesday, September 24, 2014 from 12 Noon until the 1 pm Service in the Chapel of Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Brandon, MS. Burial will follow in the Johns Cemetery in Johns, MS. Lester Earl Carter was born on May 15, 1967 in Jackson, MS to the late Lester Aubrey Carter and Patricia Ann Ashley Carter. He was a lifelong resident of Rankin County, MS and had worked in construction at the Hudspeth Center for over 12 years. He was an all-round person who loved the outdoors. He loved his family and was a dedicated family man and was a member of Rock Hill Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his dad; his sister, Teressa Fitzhugh; and granddaughter, Addison Tripp. Survivors include his wife of 26 years, Jewel Carter of Brandon; his mother, Patricia Ann carter of Brandon; three children, Ashley Carter, Kyle Carter and Matthew Carter all of Brandon; one sister, Becky Chapman of Brandon; three half-sisters, Lexie Robinson of Forest, Lynn Ridgeway of Braxton, and Carol Beeland of Brandon; one brother, Jimmy Carter; and two grandchildren, Hunter Tripp and Braelyn Stevens.
