Lewis Grover Herrington, Jr. , 48, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, August 21, 2016 at the University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson, MS. Visitation was Monday, August 22, 2016 from 5 until 7 pm and 10 am until 11 am Tuesday, August 23, 2016 at Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Brandon, MS. Funeral Services are 11 am Tuesday from the Chapel of Ott & Lee Funeral Home with burial to follow at Southern Memorial Gardens in Magee, MS.
Lewis was born on April 21, 1968 in Jackson, MS to the late Lewis Grover Herrington and Fredna Jean Ellis Herrington. He attended Pearl High School. He had worked for over 30 years as a firefighter. He last worked in Magee, MS. He was a lifelong resident of Rankin/Simpson County’s.
Survivors include his wife, Jessica Herrington of Magee, MS; his mother, Jean Huff of Terry, MS; two children, Tyler Herrington and Lewis Grover Herrington, III both of Brandon, MS; one sister, Kim Evans Bennett of Louisville, MS; two brothers, Joey Herrington of Florence, MS and Michael Ted Herrington of Preston, MS; and two grandchildren.
