Libby Till

Libby Swales Till, 71, died at Select Specialty Hospital in Jackson, MS on Tues. Feb. 6, 2018 after an extended illness, with her beloved husband of 37 years by her side. James cared for Libby thru their life together with love and kindness. Visitation will be held on Thurs. Feb. 8, 2018 from 5pm-8pm at Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Brandon, MS. Funeral Services are 2pm on Fri. Feb. 9, 2018 at the Ott & Lee Funeral Home Chapel in Brandon, MS with burial to follow in the Old Pelahatchie Cemetery in Pelahatchie, MS.

Libby was a wonderful, sweet and very beautiful woman who loved animals, birds and all of God’s creatures. Libby was born on December 23, 1947 to Jack Swales and Elizabeth Collier Swales at Philadelphia, MS. She was a graduate of the Jackson Public Schools. James and Libby are members of Pelahatchie United Methodist Church. Libby was a long time member of the American Legion Auxillary Unit 112 and the Easter Star Chapter 222 of Pelahatchie, MS.

Libby was preceded in death by her loving and sweet grandmother, Mattie Stribling Collier who was 100 years old; her father, Jack Swales and a son, Jack Douglas Mann at 14 years old. She leaves behind her husband, James W. Till; her mother, Elizabeth Swales; one sister, Martha Evans (Scott) of Eureka, MO; four step children, Randy, Ricky, Gary and Yancy Till. She also leaves behind her dog, Popeye who will miss her very much and her very loving Doctors, Lee Sams III and Grace Shoemaker.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Pelahatchie United Methodist Church at 200-204 Munsterman St. Pelahatchie, MS 39145.
