Mrs. Lillian Earls, age 92, a resident of Morton passed away on Thursday, April 20, 2017 at the Bee Hive in Forest. Her visitation was held 5-8pm on Friday, April 21, 2017 at Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Morton. Funeral services were held 10am Saturday, April 22, 2017 from the Ott & Lee Chapel in Morton with burial in Independence United Methodist Cemetery. Rev. Skipper Maxwell officiated the services. Arrangements were entrusted to the care of Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Morton.
Lillian was born in Orange, TX on November 25, 1924. She loved cooking, sewing and gardening. Lillian and her husband, Leroy raised chickens and enjoyed farming. She loved to play a good game of dominoes. Lillian will be greatly missed by all who loved and knew her.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Leroy Earls; parents, Benjamin Frank Hall and Emma C. Roberts Hall; daughter, Linda Carol Earls; sister, Virgie Lee Hunter and daughter-in-law, Gale Earls.
She is survived by her son, Frankie Earls of Morton; granddaughter, Leanne Pounders and husband, Daniel of Tupelo; sister, Betty Eure of Morton; several nephews and a host of friends.
Pallbearers were Edgar Purvis, Rick Lewis, Jim Lewis, Joey Hunter, Danny Hunter and Randy Eure. Honorary pallbearer was Ira Donald.
Memorials may be made in her name and honor to the Independence United Methodist Church Cemetery Fund.
