Linda J. Adkins, 65, went to be with her Lord on Wednesday, March 8, 2017 at Mississippi Baptist Medical Center in Jackson, MS. Visitation will be Saturday, March 11, 2017 from 5 until 8 pm and Sunday, March 12, 2017 at 1 pm at Ott and Lee Funeral Home in Brandon, MS.
Funeral Services will be Sunday at 2 pm from the Chapel of Ott & Lee with burial to follow in Floral Hills Memory Gardens.
Linda was born on January 27, 1952 in Chicago, Illinois to the late Leslie John and Virginia Baron Brandt. She had been a resident of Pearl, MS for over 42 years. She was a Catholic and a homemaker. Linda was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister and friend. She was a mother to more than just her own. She had a heart of gold and made a deep impact on all who knew her. Her witty personality and unique spunk always put a smile on your face.
She is preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Kenneth Earl Brandt; and her sister, Sandra Ann Brandt.
Survivors include her husband of 41 years, Jerry Adkins of Pearl; children, Jimmy Adkins of Pensacola, Fl, Debbie Rigsby (David Joe) of Pelahatchie, Alton Doyle of Birmingham, AL, Susan Doyle of Huntsville, AL, David Doyle (Regina) of Anniston, AL, Lauri Begley (Chris Bailey-Sun Shine) of Jackson; John Adkins (Anya) of Pearl, Melissa Bryant of Pearl, Lynn Adkins of Florence, Amanda Begley (Joseph) of Pearl, Angelica Adkins of Jackson, Leslie Bryant of Pearl and Alyssa Bryant of Pearl; one brother, Phillip Brandt of Jackson; twenty six grandchildren and seventeen great-grandchildren.
