Linda Comans

Linda Carter Comans, 72, a resident of Richland, MS passed away Monday, July 15, 2019 at University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson, MS. Visitation will be held from 4:30-5:30 pm Thursday, July 18, 2019 at Ott and Lee Funeral Home in Brandon, MS. A memorial service will be held at 5:30 pm Thursday at the funeral home.

She was a beautiful spirit and so real in all realms. She loved great music, dancing and humor. A master of all things crafting and was always making special things for others. Her handmade cards will be missed along with her multiple small gifts for all occasions / "Granny gifts" as her family called them, During her time as a single provider when she and Eddie were apart for several years, she was an extreme self sacrificing spirit, working up to 3 jobs at a time to give her kids what others had. Always attended and encouraged her kids to participate in varied activities, almost never missing any event of her kids or grandchildren. She adored traveling, spending time and loving her family intensely. So much more, but would be negligent to not say that she was proud to have been a former 'wanna be' (as she deemed herself), free spirited hippie, with her personal mantra centered around the meaningful sign off as she left you, but never mistaking where she had stood... PEACE

Mrs. Comans was preceded in death by her parents, Ray Burruss Carter and Gladys Lucille Stribling Carter; brothers, Bruce Carter and Lowell Carter.

Mrs. Comans is survived by her husband, Eddie Ray Comans; her children, Robert (Leigh) Bell, Luke Comans and Angie (Mike) Crawford; grandchildren, Morgan Bell, Hannah Comans and Carter Bell; sister, Kathy Carter (Walt) Covington; special niece, Gena Barlow; many other nieces, nephews and a host of friends.
