Linda Louise Curtis

Linda Louise Curtis, 74, a resident of Morton, MS passed away peacefully at MS Care Center of Morton. No services are planned at this time. 

Ms. Linda was born in Laurel, MS to Clemen Thornton and Lee Rae Griffin Thornton. A woman who loved to travel, she lived all over Mississippi and Oklahoma during her lifetime. She was a kindhearted soul who could always be found caring for children and loving on her grandchildren. She was described as a people person and a loving mother. She raised six biological children and six step-children whom she loved like her own. She also had a silly, goofy side and could be a mischievous jokester at times. 

She is preceded in death by her parents, Clemen Thornton and Lee Rae Griffin Thornton; her son, Jefferey Lynn Curtis; her siblings, James Thornton, J.C. Thornton, Dwight Thornton, Jack Thornton, John Rayner, and Frankie Rayner. 

Ms. Linda Leaves behind five children, Stacy Louise Lagos, Charles Samuel Curtis, Robert "Bob" Thornton, Brandy Thornton, and Casey Curtis; seven step-children that she raised, Shawn West, Brandi Bates, Jason West, Keri Bates, Jacob Scott, Zack Scott, and Andrew Scott; one brother, Thomas Thornton (Delia); granddaughter, Shandria Curtis; a host of other grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
