Linda Jean Shoemaker, age 54, a resident of Pelahatchie passed away on December 29, 2016 at UMC Hospital. Visitation was held 11am-1pm on Thursday, January 05, 2017 at Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Morton. Services were held 1pm Thursday at Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Morton with burial in Leesburg Church of Christ Cemetery. Bro. Jack Stewart and Bro. Jerry Shoemaker officiated the services. Arrangements were entrusted to the care of Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Morton.
Linda was born in Scott County on October 15, 1962. She loved her family very much. Linda was diagnosed with cancer around 18 months ago and was a fighter and never gave up. She fought to survive till the end. Linda was a very caring person with a strong sense of family and friendly to everyone she met. She was the caretaker of her elderly mother and grandson. She will be greatly missed by all who loved and knew her.
She is preceded in death by her father, William Clovis Myers; brothers, Dennis Ray Myers and Billy Myers and sister, Debra Conger.
She is survived by husband, Rickey Lamar Shoemaker Sr. of Pelahatchie; mother,Gloria Renfroe Conger of Pelahatchie; children, Billy J. Myers of Pelahatchie and Ashleigh Wood of Pelahatchie; stepson, Rickey Shoemaker Jr. of LA; grandchildren, Brianna Myers, Clay Myers, Noah Myers and Toby Wood.
Pallbearers were Johnnie Renfroe, Brian Conger, Tyrone Adams, Josh Blake, Jimmy and Cody Edwards.
