Linda Dianne Wilkerson

Linda Dianne Wilkerson, 73, from Brandon Mississippi passed away peacefully on January 23rd 2024 at Baptist Medical Center in Jackson, Mississippi.

She is preceeded by her father James Prentis Husband, and mother Mary C Husband, from Burns Mississippi. She joins her husband and best friend of 53 years, John Bennie Wilkerson, who passed on November 1st, 2022. 

Dianne was born in 1950 in Raleigh Mississppi and attended her full education there, graduating from Raleigh High School in 1968. She was married to Ben on November 17th of the same year. 

Dianne was a fiercely loyal wife, mother, and grandmother. Her dedication to her family and willingness to sacrifice was woven into her being. She was strong, kind, and supportive.

In her professional career she mirrored these same qualities. Her banking career  spanned forty years, and she leaves positive impacts  on the communities she served, helping to build futures for individuals and businesses alike.

Dianne loved nature, and basked in the beauty of her own backyard. She admires the daily visitors of wildlife, and the fresh growth of spring that brought her roses to bloom. She enjoyed the simplicity of natures beauty. From songbirds and flowers, to the squirrels and trees, she held a place for all of its beauty in her heart and soul.  

She held a special place in her heart for animals, and adopted many cherished pets.

She is survived by her sons John (Melissa), and Michael (Kelsey), and four grandchildren, Johnny, Noah, Lynlee, and Jude.

Visitation will be held at Ott and Lee in Morton Mississippi on Sunday, January 28th from 4-6pm. Funeral Service will be at 11am Monday, January 29  at Ott and Lee. Interment will follow at Good Water Baptist Church in Forest Mississippi.
