Lindy Hanks

Lindy Jones Hanks was born at the Newton Hospital in Newton, Mississippi, on   March 28, 1944 to her parents, Paphro and Christine McGee Jones. She passed away at August 1, 2020 at Hilltop Manor Nursing Home in Union at the age of 76.

A teacher by profession and a Christian by testimony of her faith, we rest in hope that Lindy’s struggles of this life have passed and she is now at peace.

She is survived by three children: Revray Thompson, Brent (Lyn Marie) Thompson, and Christa (Jon) Huff; two grandchildren: Hunter Huff and Locklyn Thompson; two brothers: Sidney Jones and Jeffrey Jones.

A graveside service to celebrate her life will begin at 1:00 pm on Wednesday, August 5, 2020 at the Hopwell Baptist Cemetery south of Lake, under the direction of Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Forest.
