Lisa Rigdon Irwin

October 31, 1971 — April 15, 2015

Lisa Rigdon Irwin, 43, a resident of Brandon went to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, Wednesday, April 15, 2015. She died from injuries sustained in an automobile accident on March 24, 2015. She passed peacefully surrounded by her family at the University Medical Center in Jackson, MS. A celebration of life service will be held 3 pm Sunday, April 19, 2015 at the Central Baptist Church at 1255 Trickhambridge Rd., Brandon, MS 39042. Rev. Tyrone Wells will officiate the service. Ott and Lee Funeral Home in Brandon will be in charge of the services.

Ms. Irwin was the daughter of Horace R. Rigdon and Gwen P. Burns. She attended Central Baptist Church and Crossgates Baptist Church in Brandon. She attained her goal of becoming a registered nurse and cared for patients in hospitals in the Jackson, MS area, including UMMC, where she was a charge nurse on the 2nd floor South. Most recently she provided geriatric home health care with Mississippi Home Care of Brandon.

Ms. Irwin was preceded in death by a husband, Dave S. Garner, a fire fighter with the Pearl, MS Fire Department and her grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Rufus Rigdon and Mr. and Mrs. C.D. Loper of Decatur.

Ms. Irwin is survived by her mother, Gwen Burns (Bob), father, Horace R. Rigdon (Ruby), and three sons, Blake Humphries, Jimmy Garner and Ty Garner; three grandchildren; brothers, John and James Rigdon several nieces, nephews and a host of friends.
