Lodena Gould, 88, a resident of Morton, MS passed away on Monday, September 8, 2014 at home.
Visitation was held 5-9pm Tuesday, September 9, 2014 at Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Morton. Funeral services were held on Wednesday, September 10, 2014 in the chapel at Ott and Lee Funeral Home in Morton, MS. Bro. Carter Fortenberry of The Church of Christ and Bro. Jeffrey Jones of New Hope Fellowship Church officiated the services. Burial followed at Groveton Presbyterian Cemetery.
Arrangements were entrusted to the care of Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Morton.
Mrs. Gould was born February 3, 1926 in Scott County. Lodena loved her family very much and will be greatly missed by all who loved and knew her.
She is preceded in death by her 2 husbands, Chester Adam Gould and Barney Parker; child, Bonnie Parker; 2 grandsons, James Adam Gould and Danny Adam Parker; 5 sisters, Faye Latham, Winnie Mae Shoemaker, Janie Denson, Annie Lee Massey and Mary Lou Allen; brother, William Odell Sumrall and parents, William T. Sumrall and Zettie Lee Bates Sumrall.
She is survived by her sons, Billy Ray Parker (Becky) of Pelahatchie, James Curtis “Jimmy” Gould (Billie) of Morton and James Wesley Parker (Ann) of Morton; sister, Dorothy Lee Fortenberry of Morton; 8 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews and a host of friends.
Pallbearers were Brent Denson, Steven Denson, Jason Denson, Daniel Wooten, Chad Renfroe, Joey Massey, Steve Massey and Dusty Fortenberry.
