Loraine Payne

Loraine Payne, age 89 of Brandon, passed away on Saturday, March 16, 2024.

Visitation will be 5:00pm until 7:00pm Tuesday, March 19, 2024, and again on Wednesday from 10:00am until 11:00am, at Ott and Lee Funeral Home in Brandon. A Celebration of Loraine’s Life will be 11:00am Wednesday, March 20, 2024, at Ott and Lee Funeral Home in Brandon. Burial will follow in Hebron Cemetery.

She was born in Lincoln County, MS on September 1, 1934, to the late Tommie and Emmen Cook Norton.

Loraine was preceded in death by her parents; husband Derrell Odell Payne; son Jeff Payne; siblings Grady Norton, Christine Bacon, Betty Jean Vanderford, and J.T. Norton.

She was a member of Rock Hill Baptist Church, loved gardening of any kind from growing flowers to fresh vegetables.

She is survived by her children Keith (Joyce) Payne and Bob Payne; siblings Jessie Mae Means and Thomas Norton; seven grandchildren, several great-grandchildren, and a host of other relatives and friends.
