Louise Parkinson Hallas, 89, passed away Fri. July 12, 2013 at the Peach Tree Village Nursing Home in Brandon, MS. A private family funeral service will be held at a later date. Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Brandon, MS is handling the arrangements.
Mrs. Hallas was born in McAdams, MS and has lived most of her life in the Jackson Metro Area. Mrs. Hallas was a member of the Parkway Baptist Church in Kosciusko, MS and was also a member of the Ladies Auxiliary. Mrs. Hallas was a workaholic who was very devoted to the Prudential Insurance Company for 41 years. Most of all Mrs. Hallas was a very loving woman who devoted her life to her family.
She is survived by her niece, Donna Parkinson Smith of Brandon; three nephews, Mark Everett Parkinson of Brandon, Carey Nelson Parkinson of Brandon and James Randall Parkinson of Stanford, TX; four great nieces, Jessica Lynn Dear, Brittany Ann Burgess, Pam Ware and Candace Strickland; two great nephews, Steven Boyte Smith and Parker Alexander Smith; two great-great nieces and a great-great nephew. Mrs. Hallas is preceded in death by her parents, Author and Wilma Parkinson; sister, Doris Christine Parkinson and four brothers, Ralph Nelson Parkinson, Earl Stevens Parkinson, Everette Donald Parkinson and James “J.T.” Temple Parkinson.
