Louise Harrell

Mrs. Dorothy Louise Harrell age 88, and a resident of Brandon, MS passed away on Saturday, May 14, 2016 at the Merit Rankin Health hospital in Brandon. Funeral Service was held Monday, May 16, 2016 at 10:00 am from the Ott and Lee Funeral Home in Morton, MS with Rev. Marc Williams and Rev. Phillip Evans presiding. Visitation was held Sunday, May 15, 2016 at Ott and Lee Funeral Home in Morton from 5 pm until 8 pm.
Mrs. Harrell was born on August 7, 1927 in Rankin County to the parents of Robert and Birdie "Massey" Gray. She had attended the Leesburg Baptist Church and enjoyed her faith and life. She loved fishing, gardening, flowers, playing marbles, dominoes, checkers, and washers, horse shoes, reading, and spending time with her family and she loved her family "all the same."
Mrs. Louise was preceded in death by her husband, Jack Harrell; her parents Robert and Birdie "Massey" Gray; grandchildren, Carl Harrison, Jason Harrell, Brenton Harrell, Baby-Girl Chunn; sisters, Bobbie Bowman, Irene Trussell, Helen Gray; brothers, Fred Gray and Ed Gray.
She is survived by her children, Freddie Earl (Judy) Chunn of Leesburg, James (Shirley) Harrell of Pelahatchie, Linda (Kenny) Harrison of Hazlehurst, Marie (Millard) Downs of Richland, Jack (Kala) Harrell of Pelahatchie, Dale(Brenda) Harrell of Johns, Bonnie(Tommy)Bailey of Florence and Pennie (Jay) Boykin of New Augusta; her brother, Sylvester Gray; her special cousin Estelle Pool; 27 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; along with many nieces, nephews and a host of friends.
Serving as pallbearers were Justin Boykin, Trent Boykin, Jody Harrison, John Harrell, Michael Harrell, Joey White. Serving as honorary pallbearers, were Mitchell Tagert, Tim Chunn, Brady White, Austin Sandifier, Ethan White, Richard Chunn, and Jack Harrison.
Funeral Arrangements were entrusted to the care of Ott and Lee Funeral Home of Morton, MS.
