Louise Westbrook, 85, a resident of Holly Bush Community near Pelahatchie died Friday, November 4, 2011 at MS Care Center of Morton. Funeral services will be held at 1pm Monday, November 7, 2011 at the Pelahatchie Assembly of God with burial in the Rehobeth Cemetery in Pelahatchie. Visitation will be held 3-5 pm Sunday at Ott and Lee Funeral Home in Morton. Rev. Paul Smith and Rev. Norman Sanders will officiate the services. Ott and Lee Funeral Home in Morton will be in charge of the services.
Mrs. Westbrook was a lifelong resident of the Holly Bush Community near Pelahatchie. She was married to Rev. R.C. Westbrook. She and her husband were the founders of the Pelahatchie Assembly of God. She loved her family and spending time with them brought great joy to her life. She will be missed by all who loved and knew her. Her loss has left us with a great void that can never be filled on this earth. We would like to express our appreciation to the MS Care Center and everyone who had a part in caring for our mother; with special thanks to Ms. Elsie Thompson and Ms. Vanessa Rodredriguz. The family would also like to express their appreciation for the many prayer and acts of kindness over the years.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Tommy and Flista Stuart, husband, Rev. R.C. Westbrook, her brothers, sisters and 2 great grandchildren.
She is survived by her children, Betty (Jimmy) Rhodes of Pelahatchie, Catherine (Sidney) Tagert of Pelahatchie, Sarah (Billy Lee) Stewart of Pelahatchie, R.C. “Pete”, Jr. (Konitta) Westbrook of Hartselle, AL and Kenneth Dale (Cherry) Westbrook of Kosciusko; grandchildren, Kevin Rhodes of Pelahatchie, Kurt Rhodes of Pelahatchie, Kyle Rhodes of Pelahatchie, Sammy Westbrook of Kosciusko, Cammeron Westbrook of AL, Jonathan Westbrook of AL, Christopher David Stewart of Pelahatchie, Lisa McCurdy of Morton, Linda Huff of Pelahatchie, Laurie Goldman of Pelahatchie, Cathey Lum of Pelahatchie, Tracie Stewart Hinton of Pelahatchie, Valerie Westbrook of Kosciusko and Wendy Westbrook of AL; 32 great grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; many nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends.
Serving as pallbearers will be Kevin Rhodes, Kurt Rhodes, Kyle Rhodes, Sammy Westbrook, Cammeron Westbrook, Jonathan Westbrook and Christopher David Stewart.
