Myra Lozell Pace peacefully passed away on January 20, 2021, at age 86.
She was born on November 11, 1934, to the parents of Jakie and Jewel Futch. She was a lifelong resident of Newton County and a member of Conehatta Baptist Church. She worked at Midland Shirt Company for many years serving as plant manager for the last 20 years.
Preceded in death by her husband of 41 years, James E. Pace, and her parents, one sister, Patsy May, and two brothers-in-law.
Survivors include her sister, Peggy Germany, nephews, Dwain Ivey and Robert May (Trisha), nieces, Melanie Vick (Billy), Suzanne Weaver (Chris), two great-nieces, and four great-nephews, 8 great-great nieces and nephews.
Affectionally is known as “Aunt Sissy,” she loved her family and her family loved her. She will be forever greatly missed.
Private Family Services will be conducted at 3 pm Sunday, January 24, 2021, at the Ott & Lee Funeral Home Chapel in Forest with graveside services to follow in the Conehatta Methodist Cemetery. Visitation will be held at 2pm at the funeral home before the service. (Facial coverings must be worn and physical distancing practiced. No more than 10 people in the building.)
Pallbearers are Ryan Weaver, Hayden Weaver, Matt Harris, Tyler Harris, Chris Weaver, and Billy Vick.
The family requests memorials are made to the Arthritis Foundation 4701 Lakeland Dr, Flowood, MS 39232.
