Lucille Pitt Edwards, 90, passed away on Tuesday, March 15, 2011, at Copiah Living Center. Visitation is Thursday, March 17, 2011 at Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Brandon with services following at 1 pm in the chapel. A graveside service will be held at 3pm Thursday in Newton County Memorial Gardens.
Mrs. Edwards was born in Trinity, Alabama on October 18, 1920 to James and Minnie Lee Hames Pitt.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Robert M. Edwards, Sr.; great grandson, Jeremy Edwards; daughter-in-law, Carolyn Edwards.
She is survived by her sons, Robert Edwards, Jr. of Petal, MS, and Ralph Edwards (Carole) of Decatur, AL; daughters, Mary Alice Wood (Mike) of Madison, MS, Jeanette Norman of Pearl, MS, Melba Harrell of Pensacola, FL and Julia Edwards of Madison, MS; grandchildren, Danny (Jane) Edwards, Hannah (Shawn) McCallum, Heather (Kevin)Buffington, Tyler (Clancy)Norman, Frank Edwards and Lee Edwards; and 8 great grandchildren.
