Annie Lucille Gammill, age 90, and a resident of Newton died Wednesday, April 5, 2023, following an extended illness.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11am Monday, April 10, 2023, from the chapel of the OTT & LEE Funeral Home in Forest.  Visitation will be held from 10am till the service time at the funeral home.  Bro. Proby Gammill and Bro.  A.D. Gammill will officiate.  Graveside services will not be held, the family will remain to visit with friends.  Mrs. Gammill will be laid to rest on Tuesday morning April 11, 2023,  with her husband, Proby Gammill in the MS Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Newton.

She was born in Gunnison, MS on February 19, 1933. Mrs. Gammill was a homemaker. She loved spending time with her family, gardening, and being outdoors. She was a member of the Lawrence Baptist Church.  She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Porter Aycox and Sallie Redden Aycox, and her husband, Proby Gammill, Sr.

Survivors include her two children; Proby Gammill, Jr. (Judy) of Lawrence, MS, and Keith Gammeill (Sandy) of Lafayette, LA., and seven grandchildren.
