 Lucy Sessions Gibbs, 96,
passed away peacefully on Saturday, January 18, 2014, at her home with family
by her side.  Funeral services will be
conducted at 2:30pm Tuesday, January 21, 2014 at Ott and Lee Funeral Home in
Brandon, MS with interment to follow in Brandon Memorial Gardens.  Visitation will be held Tuesday from 12:30 –
2:30pm at the funeral home.

 
Lucy was born near Forest, MS
to Calvin and Martha Jane Sessions on September 26, 1917.  She was married to Eugene B. Gibbs for over
50 years.  They moved to Brandon in 1992
to retire close to their beloved daughter and grandchildren.
 

She was a member of First
United Methodist Church of Brandon, MS. 
She had a wonderful gift of growing a multitude of flowers and plants.
She loved spending time with her friends, neighbors and family.  Her favorite times were walking them around
her beautiful yard that she spent many hours perfecting.

 
Mrs. Gibbs was preceded in
death by her husband, Eugene B. Gibbs; her daughter, Linda Gibbs Ainsworth; and
11 brothers and sisters.

 
She is survived by her sister
Wydell Sessions Clark; her granddaughter Leslie A. Buckley (John); grandson,
Jason H. Ainsworth (Christen) and three great granddaughters, Katie Buckley,
Liza Ainsworth and Ella Rose Ainsworth; and nieces and nephews.

 The family would like to
thank the ladies from Sitters, LLC for taking such good care of her.
