Mrs. Lura LeJean Hornback, age 62, a resident of Morton passed away on Wednesday, April 24, 2013 at St. Dominic Hospital in Jackson. Visitation was held 5-9pm Saturday, April 27, 2013 at Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Morton. Funeral services were held 2pm Sunday, April 28, 2013 at Ott & Lee Chapel in Morton with burial in Oak Grove Church of God Cemetery. Rev. Reggie Tatum officiated the services. Arrangements are entrusted to the care of Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Morton.

Mrs. Hornback was born in Morton, MS in 1950. She loved knitting, crocheting and working crossword puzzles. She loved her family and grandchildren very much and she will be missed by all who loved and knew her.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Allen Holmes and Rita Turnage Holmes Beavers; sisters, Irma Thaggard, Kathy Canoy and Shirley Luke.

She is survived by her 5 children, Paul Hornback of Polkville, Angela Boleware (Calvin) of Polkville, Margie Mobbs of Johns, Christy Gregory (David) of Magee and Jessica Hornback of Magee; brother, Jack Holmes of Morton; 13 grandchildren, Jeffery Boleware, Tiffany Hornback, Brent Hornback, James Boleware, Joseph Boleware, William Gregory, Loren Gregory, Bobby Mobbs, Zachery Gregory, Brandon Gregory, Katelynn Gregory, Madison Gregory and Helen Gregory; 2 great grandchildren, Casey Rose Phillips and Karleigh Grace Boleware and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.

Pallbearers were Jeffery Boleware, James Boleware, Chris Harrell, Charlie Harrell, Mark May, Raymond Harrell, Jimmy Dale Rushing, Johnny Mobbs, Jamie Courtney and Jeffery Davis.
