Luther Beaver Jr.

Luther Galloway Beaver, Jr., 82, passed away on Tuesday, August 22, 2017, at St. Dominic Hospital with family by his side. Visitation will be 10am -12 Noon Saturday, August 26, 2017, at Galloway United Methodist Church. A memorial service will follow at 12 Noon in the Chapel at Galloway UMC.
Mr. Beaver was born in Jackson, MS on September 26, 1934, to the late Luther Galloway Beaver and late Ruth Watkins Beaver. Luther was a graduate of Central High School and Mississippi State University. Upon graduating MSU, he and his brother, Charles joined their father at Beaver Brothers Furniture Company. He later became associated with Quinn Brothers Stockyards. He also enjoyed a longtime employ with Irby Construction Co. clearing right of ways across the United States.
He will be remembered by his wife of 57 years, Jane Watters Beaver; daughters and sons-in-law, Lisa and Keith Smith and their children, Audrey, Will and Anna, Celia and Charles Bowman, III and their son Charles, and Frances and Tony Deason and their children, Percy, Brantley, Chad and wife Kristen, Tabitha, and Casey and his fiancé Stephanie; great grandchildren, Dylan, Shelby, Emma, Carter, Brady and a new baby due in March of 2018; he is also survived by his brother, Charles Beaver; and nieces, nephews and cousins.
